Campaign Story

Hello, my name is Shaqualla. For almost a decade, I was in an abusive marriage that left me feeling hopeless and broken. In a moment of fear and desperation, I made the difficult and uneducated decision to have a salpingectomy after my second child. I was afraid I wouldn’t make it out, and I didn’t want to bring another child into that painful situation. Now, years later, I carry deep regret for that decision.

But God had a greater plan for me. Four years ago, He brought the love of my life into my world—someone who has shown me what true love and happiness feel like. He doesn’t have biological children, but he loves mine as if they were his own. He has never pressured me, and he tells me that we are a family no matter what. But I know in my heart how much he longs to be a father.

I love him too much to take that dream away from him. If I am not able to give him a child, I fear I may have to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go so that he can have the chance to experience fatherhood.

IVF is our only hope, but it is incredibly expensive. This is my last chance to bring a little miracle into our lives, to complete our family, and to give the man I love the gift of fatherhood.
